Spark Center for Social Entrepreneurship Development (Spark Center) is currently a non-governmental organization, registered as a member of the Viet Nam Union of Science and
Technology Associations (VUSTA).Spark Center is part of the Local Capacity Development Facility (LCDF), initiated by the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV). Spark Center is proud to be co-founded by SNV, the Viet Nam Center for Community Support Development Studies (CECODES), PACT in Viet Nam and the Center for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD Viet Nam). The objectives of Spark Center's activities are:
1. To support social enterprises in successful up-scaling and replication of proven local social business solutions
2. To facilitate the development of transparent and dynamic individual and business capacity development services at local levels, especially where local social business solutions are
implemented The Communications Research Intern will be working full time (preferably, or part time is optional)under the supervision of Spark Program Officer.
Duration: 4 " 6 months (possibility of extension, expected starting date from late December 2012)
Specific Duties and Responsibilities :
Communications Assistance
Draft and prepare inputs for communications materials (articles, stories, reports, newsletters and other publication), and support the dissemination of these materials)
Collect inputs for articles, reports, newsletter,
Attend meetings, take notes and prepare minutes
Participate and provide support to the organization of Spark Center's events
Maintain Spark Center's library and image/video database
Update Spark activity on social media networks
Provide other translation, interpretation and administrative support as required
Research Assistance
Assist Program Officer in preparing for desk and field study
Work with related stakeholders for the collection of necessary information (surveys, questionnaires and interviews, etc.) for the research
Desired Education, Skills and Qualifications :
Hold a Bachelor degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration, Economics, Social Studies, marketing, Communications, or related fields
Experience in media or as communications professional
Passion for social entrepreneurship for poverty reduction
Good organization skills and reporting skills
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Vietnamese and English
Good computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office applications
Be proactive and creative with good team work and networking skills
