KUCHING: SEGi College Sarawak Tourism Club (SCSTC) held a birthday party, themed 'Sleeping Wear', to coincide with the club's annual general gathering at the Grand Supreme Hotel here recently.
"SCSTC came up with this theme to build better rapport between club members and lecturers from SEGi's different faculties. The club also elected its 2013 office bearers during this event," said club advisor Ting Hui Bun, a senior lecturer from the faculty of hospitality (SCSFOH).
"Students and lecturers enjoyed a mix of fun and games. Students had the opportunity to mix around with other members and build their networking skills," he added.
The event was a success due to support from several sponsors including the Grand Supreme Hotel, Level-Up Fitness Sdn Bhd, Munch Cafe, John's Pie, KTS Trading Sdn Bhd, Full House, Ming Ming Travel Services Sdn. Bhd and Hartz Chicken,' said the college's programme coordinator from faculty of hospitality Abby Lee. The club organises a variety of activities to compliment the hospitality and tourism management programmes offered by the faculty.
